Styling Tips:
- Apply a volume boosting product and a thermal protectant to damp hair.
- Blow dry hair, using a round thermal brush to control hair and build volume during blowout. Wrap hair around the brush at the roots, and lift hair up from the roots, pulling the brush downwards through hair, while guiding hair in the desired direction.
- When hair is about 80 percent dry, divide the top, front profile of hair into two horizontal sections, and wrap both section around a large velcro rollers. The rollers will help give hair added body and volume. When rolling hair, be sure to roll hair away from face. Once hair is rolled, use the blowdryer to hit the rollers with heat, to set hair. When hair is completely dry, allow your hair to cool off before removing the rollers.
- To build even more volume and texture after blowout, sprinkle your roots with a texture powder or dry shampoo, and use a teasing comb to lightly tease the roots around the crown of your head. You can tease your roots more or less depending on the amount of volume you desire.
- After teasing, use a flatiron to create a few soft curls in your face framing fringe, and bevel the ends of hair. For this look, you don’t want your hair to look symmetrical, so don’t try to make your curls or the ends of your hair identical. It is okay if it’s a bit messy, as you are going for a slightly messy textured look. But, be sure to create curls going away from your face.
- To finish styling, spritz the ends of hair with a dry texture spray to help give hair a slightly undone look, and use your fingers to relax curls and shape hair.
