Styling Tips:
- Prep hair by applying a pre blowout, thermal protectant to damp hair before blow-drying and styling. Look for a product that offers the added benefits of volume and hold.
- Blowdry hair, using a round thermal brush to control hair and build volume during blowout. Wrap hair around the brush at the roots, and then, lift hair up from the roots, pulling the brush downwards through hair, while guiding hair in the desired direction.
- When hair is about 80 percent dry, divide the top, front profile of hair into two horizontal sections, and wrap both section around a large velcro rollers. The rollers will help give hair added body and volume. When rolling hair, be sure to roll hair away from face. Once hair is rolled, use the blowdryer to hit the rollers with heat, to set hair. When hair is completely dry, allow your hair to cool off before removing the rollers.
- To build even more volume and texture after blowout, dust your roots with a texture powder or dry shampoo, and use a teasing comb to lightly tease the roots around the crown of your head. You can tease your roots more or less depending on the amount of volume you desire.
- After teasing, use a flatiron to enhance the smoothness of hair and create beveled ends. Working with sections of hair at a time, clamp a medium size strand of hair close to the roots, and slowly drag the flatiron down the hair strand, slightly curving hair inwards near the ends of hair. If your hair is already smooth and beveled, feel free to skip this step.
- Create an exaggerated side part where you prefer, and sweep hair over, creating voluminous and exaggerated side-swept bangs.
- After styling, spritz hair with a volume holding finishing spray to hold style.
