- Apply a thermal protectant and volume boosting product to damp hair to achieve extra volume while blowdrying.
- When hair is about 80 percent dry, use a large round thermal brush to control hair while blow drying. Wrap sections of hair over the brush at the roots and use the brush to lift hair up, and then slowly pull the brush down through the hair, going in the direction you want your hair to lay. Slightly turn the brush at an angle to create random wispy, flipped ends. Repeat this step for the full head of hair, until you get to your bangs, or the face-framing layers. Use the round brush to blow dry the front layers back and away from the face.
- Once hair is dry, use a teasing comb to add volume at roots.
- Then, spritz hair with a volumizing finishing spray and use your fingers to shape and style hair.
